|New for 2012 at the PSP Southampton Boat Show is the RYA “Active Marina Experience”.
The Active Marina Experience will give you the opportunity to refresh your boating skills and gain top tips from expert instructors with free on the water and shorebased workshops. From man overboard drills and berthing manoeuvres to engine maintenance and radar operation, workshops will run each day and will provide you with some real hands-on experience.
Spaces are available for the following daily sessions:
11.00 - 12.00 Berthing and Boat Handling
12.30 - 13.30 Diesel Inboard & Outboard Tender Engine Basics
14.00 - 15.00 VHF / DSC Radio Workshop
15.30 - 16.30 Radar Operation
Places are very limited so it is highly recommended you book your session either in advance for the shore-based workshops or on the day for on-the-water sessions.

To book an on-water workshop visit the ‘Try-a-Boat’ booking point on stand A140, when you arrive at the show. (On-water workshops cannot be booked in advance). The RYA Active Marina Programme is designed to help berth holders get more out of life with their boat through establishing or enhancing marina-based practical workshop training opportunities, cruises in company and social events. This is achieved through partnering with marina operators, RYA Recognised Training Centres (RTCs), Berth Holder Groups and Yacht Clubs in order to promote a programme of activities that encourages and enables boat owners to use and enjoy their boats more regularly

Visit stand (F004) at the PSP Southampton Boat Show where over 50 marinas are represented, offering special show deals and quick quotations on a number of different berthing locations. Our staff will be able to provide advice and information according to your needs.
