Hayley Cloke, TYHA Executive was delighted to present the Superyacht Ready Certificate to Poole Quay Boat Haven on Tuesday.
THE YACHT HARBOUR ASSOCIATION (TYHA) is delighted to announce Poole Quay Boat Haven & Port of Poole Marina as its first ever Superyacht Ready accredited marina, this follows the recent launch of the programme at Southampton International Boat Show. Jonathan White, TYHA General Manager, congratulated marina manager Kerrie Gray CMM and her team for their excellent achievement and expressed his excitement for the industry's enthusiastic support for this new accreditation which links with the world renowned Gold Anchor marina accreditation scheme.
The Superyacht Ready criteria assess’s various aspects of the marina, including its infrastructure's suitability for superyachts, accessibility for such vessels, security measures, and the availability of services. Marinas that are already Gold Anchor accredited and are able to cater for Superyachts are invited to apply for Superyacht Ready status. Marinas not part of the Gold Anchor program should apply to join the Gold Anchor programme first.
Captain Brian Murphy, CEO of the @Poole Harbour Commissioners, expressed his pride in being the first port in the UK to receive this new certification. He attributed this achievement to the hard work of Marina Manager Kerrie Gray CMM and her team, who consistently deliver high standards of service for superyachts visiting the port. He also mentioned their existing offerings, such as a helicopter landing facility, and their plans to expand their berths in line with their Masterplan vision. Port of Poole is fast becoming the destination of choice in the UK for visiting superyachts.
