On behalf of one of our members MARINA AND HOLIDAY PARK SOLUTIONS LTD:
You may have seen activity on our website and social media pages lately, usually we don’t shout from the roof tops about what we do but we have a metering system that we have been working on that currently has 20,000 working outlets.
The technology we have adopted is LoRa WAN a network that has been used for years in the IOT sector, a partner approached us some 24months ago and we have been working on a solution that works in the UK market during that time, 1 local gateway connected to a SIM card or Wi-Fi can look after 1500 sockets within a stable 1.5km radius but we have found it can transmit much further if required.
The hardware is modular and can be retrofitted into most existing service pedestals in fact a 2-way unit the space requirement would be 6 modules or 8 if plug detection is required, no cabling between existing units.
Its self-service and allows anyone to log onto the payment platform via a QR code much like a car park payment machine (or select direct from the app), and once you are connected on the app, a list of local sockets are shown on a map, eliminating need to scan more codes for users without a smart phone a self-service station is available.
It can be used for electric, water, pump out EV points even POS in a bar or restaurant virtually anything on site that requires payment for can be done through the app.
Admin is managed by a software package that we give to you for free, yes FOC (didn’t think I would be writing that), YES there are fees per socket like most systems these days, but research shows us we are around 30% the cost of most other suppliers, our hardware is very cost effective and all MID approved meters for the resale of electric.
Contact Stuart Baines, Ray Golding or Martin Georgeson for a demonstration either at your site or online.
