THE YACHT HARBOUR ASSOCIATION AND LEISURE MARINE ASSOCIATION MENA UNVEIL NEW STRATEGIC COLLABORATION

The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) and Leisure Marine Association MENA (LMA) proudly unveil a strategic collaboration designed to enhance the development of the marina industry throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

This groundbreaking collaboration signifies a new era of cooperation, with TYHA and LMA jointly committed to advancing the growth and promotion of the marina industry and its workforce.

Through this relationship, both organisations will actively support the exchange of marina best practices, utilising the respected Gold Anchor, Clean Marina, and Superyacht Ready accreditation programmes. The emphasis on these quality standards is poised to elevate the industry and contribute significantly to the sustainable development of marinas in the MENA region.

This strategic alliance marks a significant step forward for the leisure marine sector in the region, promising exciting opportunities and advancements.

In alignment with a shared commitment to fostering excellence, TYHA and LMA will actively promote and encourage the training and continuous professional development of marina staff. This initiative will be realised through close collaboration with the Global Marina Institute, ensuring that marina professionals in the MENA region benefit from world-class education and training opportunities.

Playing pivotal roles as advocates for marina promotion, TYHA and LMA will engage in boat shows, events, publications and targeted communication channels. The overarching goal is to enhance global awareness and showcase the distinctive offerings of marinas in the MENA region.

The collaboration extends to the facilitation of networking events and seminars, providing a platform for meaningful connections and knowledge-sharing among marina professionals. The exploration of hosting an annual international event in the Middle East, jointly organised by LMA and TYHA, underscores the commitment to fostering a robust and interconnected marina community in the region.

Central to this collaborative effort is a shared commitment to leveraging industry best practice guidelines and standards. This focus aims to guarantee a heightened level of quality and consistency throughout the sector, thereby fortifying the MENA region's standing as a recognised hub for premium marina experiences.

“Delivering the highest quality customer experience is an ever increasing focus for our marina members in the Middle East and therefore we are delighted to be working in collaboration with the Leisure Marina Association to help marinas achieve this. The Gold Anchor, Clean Marina and Superyacht Ready accreditation programmes are a highly effective way of sharing best practice to raise standards and we look forward to working with LMA to help more marinas through these schemes”.

Commented Jonathan White, TYHA General Manager

TYHA and LMA extend an invitation to industry stakeholders, professionals, and enthusiasts to join them on this transformative journey as they collaborate to shape the future of the marina industry in the Middle East and North Africa.
